Yoo Sung Gyu started off as a rapper for the band "VIBE", but left during the group's hiatus between their second and third albums, stating that he wanted to pursue his own style of music, adopting the moniker "Noblesse". It is alleged that he took the name from a popular webtoon that dealt with the subject matter of vampires.
